UDC to upgrade the standard of education

The leader of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), Advocate Duma Boko has promised to upgrade the standard of education in Botswana.

Mr Boko said on August 17 in Xhumo during a political rally to launch the party’s Boteti West Parliamentary candidate Mr Sam Digwa and council hopefuls.

Mr Boko said the UDC aimed  to ensure that one teacher was allocated 25 students per class to enhance performance as well as create more vacancies for unemployed teachers.

UDC, he said was going to bring advanced technological developments to Batswana adding that it was the only relevant party that had the capability to address the challenges experienced by Batswana.

He said the party had committed to address high unemployment rate by creating 100 000 jobs in the first twelve months after taking over government.

Selebi Phikwe West MP, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse pleaded with the Boteti West electorates to vote for Mr Digwa.

Mr Keorapetse said he was confident that Mr Digwa was going to win in the upcoming general election since opposition parties had formed a coalition.

He said Mr Digwa’s chances of going to parliament in 2014 were frustrated by parties’ failure to cooperate.

He stated that it was possible to change the government and run it smoothly as that had happened in other countries.

Mr Digwa said he was going to fight for Tsienyane/Rakops to be declared a sub-district administration centre if he wins the election.

He said he was solution to all the challenges the resident of Boteti were experiencing.

Mr Digwa said he would establish a plan that could be applied to separate wildlife from the tribal area. Ends
