AP has visionary leadership - Butale

Alliance for Progressives’ (AP) secretary general, Dr Phenyo Butale, has implored residents of Mmadinare to vote for the party’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Mmadinare constituency, Mr Motshereganyi Madingwane in the coming general election.
Launching Mr Madingwane at Mmadinare on August 3, Dr Butale said AP had visionary leaders capable of changing the economic landscape of the country for the better.
He urged electorates to consider the calibre of leaders they intend to vote for, adding that leaders ought to be the servant of the people not their masters as it was the case now.
“AP has the interest of the nation at heart and would serve the interests of the people of Mmadinare,” he said adding that Mr Madingwane deserved a vote.
He said AP also encouraged its leaders to come up with motions that would help develop their respective constituencies and improve the lives of their constituents.
Dr Butale said Mmadinare was lagging behind in terms of developments, saying Mr Madingwane was better placd to represent them as he had better economic plans for the area.
Dr Butale, who is also MP for Gaborone Central also raised concern over high unemployment rate saying that AP had better economic strategies to address the problem.
If voted into power, he said, AP would build a vibrant economy that would produce many jobs, adding that the economy would grow by 10 per cent annually.
He said AP would further reduce the import bill and empower the manufacturing sector to help drive the economy and create many decent jobs for Batswana.
For his part, Mr Madingwane urged Mmadinare residents to send him to Parliament by voting for him in the coming general election.
He promised to advocate for the development of area, citing the upgrading of Mmadinare primary hospital.
He said Mmadinare has two big dams, Letsibogo and Dikgatlhong, which have the potential to create employment for Mmadinare and Robelela residents through fishery.
Mr Madingwane also called for lower water tariffs for the people of Mmadinare, saying that since the dam was situated in their area they should not be billed the same way as the people in Gaborone.
He also promised to advocate for tarred roads.
He also urged the residents to vote for the AP prospective council candidates in the Mmadinare constituency.
Meanwhile, Selebi Phikwe West prospective parliamentary candidate, Mr Masego Mosinyi urged Mmadinare constituents to follow AP president Mr Ndaba Gaolathe as he was honest, humble and bright.
He said Mr Gaolathe had better economic ideas which could change the economy and bring about more decent jobs and developments for Batswana.
Mr Mosinyi stated that AP supported the Declaration of Assets and Liabilities bill as it would help address corruption. ENDS
