AP seeks to lead country to prosperity - Gaolathe

Alliance for Progressives (AP) president, Mr Ndaba Gaolathe says his party seeks to bring change to the lives of Batswana by undertaking programmes which will lead the country to prosperity.
Speaking at the launch of the AP prospective parliamentary candidate for Letlhakeng-Lephephe, Mr Phenyo Dinake and council candidates, Mr Gaolathe said Letlhakeng-Lephephe constituency continued to be experience challenges despite the opportunities that could had been used to turn around the lives of Batswana.
Mr Gaolathe said the constituents had been blessed to have Mr Dinake represent them in the next parliament as the party was ready to lead the country to prosperity.
He said problems that continued to engulf Botswana could be dealt with and needed change agents that could only be found in the AP.
The AP leader urged the electorates to make sure they vote for the AP to witness change.
Mr Gaolathe told the voters that they have to elect able leadership that would transform this country to reshape the future of Botswana.
He said he remained hopeful as he sensed the winds of change that were coming towards Botswana as the AP would be given the mandate to run the country.
The AP leader said health, education and transport sectors needed to be revamped so that Batswana could enjoy the riches of their country.
Mr Gaolathe added that AP would grow the country’s economy so that workers could earn good salaries and be able to provide for their families.
He said the BDP government had been focused on producing graduates with certificates but no employment but the AP would focus on courses that would help Batswana come up with projects that would grow the economy.
Mr Gaolathe urged electorates to vote for Mr Dinake as he would help the party to lead this country to greater heights through his work experience and qualifications.
The Special Advisor to the AP, Dr Margaret Nasha urged voters to elect the AP, saying it was the only party that could carry Botswana forward.
Dr Nasha further advised the prospective parliamentary candidate to read the law and be knowledgeable enough to argue for or against it.
She said consultation with constituents remained a top priority so that he could take their issues to Parliament and give feedback.
Dr Nasha said as AP members they wanted to take Botswana forward and they remain steadfast and faithful to their existence.
He told Mr Dinake that when he becomes an MP, he ought to remain honourable, stand his ground but respect others as well.
Dr Nasha said in the first 100 days of their government, they would review the constitution and amend the Penal Code together with other laws that needed to be changed.
Another speaker, prospective parliamentary candidate for Molepolole South, Mr Shima Monageng said the Letlhakeng /Lephephe constituency was lagging behind in developments and it was time that the constituents elect a different person to help them attain better lives.
He said Mr Dinake is an able candidate who can transform the lives of the constituents and would be better placed if elected to Parliament.
The AP Youth leader, Mr Jacob Kelebeng shared the same sentiments as Mr Monageng adding that the constituency faced challenges such as unemployment and poverty.
He told the rally that Mr Dinake was the solution to their problems.
He noted that alcohol and drug abuse remained a concern in the constituency due to lack of employment.
Mr Kelebeng also said the road to Khutse was in a bad state even though tourists use it to visit the Khutse Game Park.
For his part, Mr Dinake said it was time that he stood up for the residents of the Letlhakeng-Lephephe as they continued to suffer without any help.
Mr Dinake said together with his team of councillors would work towards improving the lives of the constituents. ENDS
