BDP youth committee commits

The recently elected BDP youth league committee is committed to taking the youth of this country forward.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, BDP youth league vice chairperson, Mr Vuyo Yane said as the committee they are going to thoroughly interrogate the challenges affecting the youth, particularly unemployment.
He said they would listen to the youth and advocate directly to the government on their behalf and prioritise on things such as youth economic empowerment.
Also, as part of its priorities, he said the committee would continue to recruit new members to the party from the opposition.
However, Mr Yane said for the committee to achieve its aspired objectives, it would need support from all within the party and the public at large.
Meanwhile, the newly elected committee has been tasked by President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama to make sure that the party wins the upcoming Tlokweng bye-elections.
The vice chairperson said the committee had already appointed a team that would focus on the fight for the Tlokweng constituency.
Furthermore, the committee is scheduled to present to the President its plans for this year.
