Transport Ministry refutes Mmegi report

The Ministry of Transport and Communications would like to refer to the article in Mmegi dated 17 May 2016, regrettably titled, “MABEO MAY BE IN CONTEMPT OF COURT.”
The public is advised that the article is misleading and erroneous. Although the applicants prayed that the report should be provided within fourteen days from the date of the judgement, the Honourable Justice Abednico Tafa’s ruling is in fact silent on the time frame within which the Minister of Transport and Communications has to provide the report.
The Minister recognizes the need of the Applicants for closure, and would like to inform the public that efforts are being made to provide the report to the courts without unnecessary delay. END
