Voting progresses well

Voting is progressing well at the Boswelatlou ward bye-election.
The ward has four polling stations; Crescent, BURS, Lobatse Brigade and Lobatse Senior Secondary School.
About 20 per cent of the voters had made their way into polling stations by mid-day. A total of 791 voters had registered in the 2014 general elections. This is the number that is expected to vote.
Presiding officers stated in an interview that all was going well and only two people have so far been denied to vote because they did not have their national identity cards. More voters are expected to vote before the 7pm closing time.
Botswana Democratic Party and Umbrella for Democratic Change are contesting the bye-election. end
