15 Aug 2015
Voting in the Good Hope/Mabule constituency started this morning (August 15) in a meticulous and peaceful manner.
Presiding officers said they did not encounter any hiccups since they opened the polling stations at 630am, adding that voters were cooperative.
“People are orderly, we have not faced any problems as yet mainly because the voters are familiar with the election process. Remember they last voted in October last year and the process is still vivid to them,” said a presiding officer.
At Ditlharapa, Marojane, Hebron, Borobadilepe, Ramatlabama and Papatlo polling stations, voting started on time (6:30am).
According to BOPA’s reporter, Segametsi Kebonang, the queues comprised both the young and old went on smoothly except that the voter turnout appeared low by 10am.
Candidates are Botswana Democratic Party’s Mr Eric Molale, Botswana Congress Party’s Mr Comfort Maruping and Umbrella for Democratic Change’s Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II.
