Molale rightful candidate - Kgathi

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) leadership has pleaded with Good Hope - Mabule constituents to vote for the Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration Mr Eric Molale in the coming bye elections to be held in a fortnight.
Speaking at a political rally held on Sunday in Pitsane , Minister of Defense, Justice and Security Mr Shaw Kgathi told the constituents that Mr Molale is the rightful candidate to lead the constituency as a member for parliament and therefore appealed to them to vote for him.
Mr Kgathi who is also a Member of Parliament for Bobirwa told the Good Hope- Mabule constituents that as a former District Commissioner, Mr Molale was well vested with local governance issues from grassroots and therefore stands a better chance to speak for the constituency’s development.
For his part, Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources Mr Kitso Mokaila also pleaded with the 6101 voters who voted for him in the past general elections to do the same and even demanded more votes for Mr Molale.
Mr Mokaila also advised Mr Molale to be attentive to Barolong and show “love to them as they are a loving people who will also love you in return.”
BDP secretary general Mr Botsalo Ntuane thanked members who lost the primary elections and went on to support the winning candidate to assure victory in the coming bye elections.
Mr Ntuane said supporting the candidate who won the primary elections was a sign that those who lost show that they have the interest of the party at heart and were not serving their own interests.
He advised the BDP members not to shun primary elections processes as they are held by the party as a way of giving all the democrats the right to express their democratic right.
For his part Mr Molale also pleaded for a vote from the constituents, adding that he was ready to serve them whole heartedly.
As a constituency that was well known as the bread basket of Botswana, Mr Molale said he was ready will ensure the continuity of peace and tranquillity as well as good governance.
The BDP welcomed 31 new members on the day. Ends
