President Khama congratulates Kenyatta

President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama has congratulated Kenyan elect, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
A press release from the ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation states that President Khama is also looking forward to working with Mr Kenyatta to further strengthen the bond of friendship that subsist between Botswana and Kenya.
It also states that President Khama has also congratulated Kenyans for the peaceful manner in which they participated in the election process as well as the political leadership for accepting the will of the people.
“This bears testimony to the maturity of democracy in Kenya, a momentous achievement that indeed deserves to be emulated all over the continent of Africa,” reads the release.
The release also states that President Khama has also expressed great satisfaction in the strength of the Botswana-Kenya relations reflected in the long history of wide ranging cooperation between the two countries.
President Khama has also wished Mr Kenyatta personal good health and a successful term of office as well as peace and prosperity for the Kenyans. ENDS
