Vote UDC - Gaolatlhe

Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) deputy leader, Mr Ndaba Gaolathe has urged voters in Good Hope to vote UDC in large numbers on January 31.
Mr Gaolathe said this when launching the party council candidate for Good Hope ward, Mr Oreeditse Modibedi. The ward is made up of Gamokoto and Kgoro.
Mr Gaolathe said if constituents elect UDC council candidate, the party would bring a change in their lives. He implored residents to vote for Mr Modibedi as he was more capable and committed to steer the village developments.
Furthermore, Mr Gaolathe said they were destined to take the country’s economy to greater heights by reviving the spirit of vocational and skills training to help create local jobs and reduce the high unemployment rate.
For his part, Member of Parliament for Goodhope/Mabule, Mr James Mathokgwane thanked Botswana Congress Party (BCP) members for rallying behind them in the constituency by not contesting. He said developments were lagging behind in their area, adding that his collaboration with the UDC council candidate would help direct the district developments.
Another speaker, MP for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi lauded the constituents for having allowed them to snatch the constituency from the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP). He urged constituents to continue rallying behind UDC for the betterment of their lives in future.
Mr Mmolotsi described Mr Modibedi as a capable candidate who can represent the constituents and introduce them to numerous programmes geared towards improving their lives.
For her part, Ms Ivory Keeke urged women and the youth to vote for the UDC candidate so that he could help uplift the lives of the most marginalised groups such as women and youth. She said the BDP programmes and policies cannot eradicate poverty amongst the lives of Batswana. Rev Dr Prince Dibeela urged constituents to stay focused and not be misled by some people from the ruling party.
He advised them to resist intimidation during the polling day. For his part, Mr Modibedi also urged voters to vote for him in order to receive fair representation.
He informed voters that he has a list of priorities that covers education, arable farming and infrastructures in the district which he would tackle when voted to council.
Mr Modibedi assured voters that when elected he would work with all associations in the area to provide lasting solutions to challenges facing the district. ENDS
