Mr Boko stated that the quality of education has gone down in the last few years, and UDC aims at improving the education standard of the country. Mr Boko noted that it does not make any sense that a pupil who has failed a lower grade would be promoted to a higher level.

He said such depicts that the current government is in denial and it does not have  the lives of Batswana at heart. He said the majority of the people in Botswana are unemployed and live below the poverty datum line because of the educational system that is not coupled with vocational and talent skills.

“Just in Xhosa Primary School, there is no library, we will change such instances so that children learn effectively,” he stated. Mr Boko said education should be used to empower people and therefore proper resources should be availed.

Mr Boko said it was high time Batswana changed from being beggars and dancing to material possessions.

“It is not proper for people to be wooed by being fed food for the day, you deserve better lives with proper wages rather than being always given material things that make you proud for that day,” stated Boko. He said the current government does not give dignity to some Batswana, saying the Ipelegeng workers receive low wages that do not match their living standards.

He stated that Batswana have fallen victims of being promised the better before elections, and they fall for that, urging them not to be victims of deception, violation and promises that get to an end after elections. Mr Boko requested them to exercise their right and vote into power UDC candidates who would not bribe voters with food, spoons and shirts.
