BCP lobbies Nkange residents for votes

Botswana Congress Party (BCP) leader, Mr Dumelang Saleshando has urged voters in Nkange constituency to vote out the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) because it has failed Batswana more than 45 years.
Speaking at the launch of the party’s Nkange constituency parliamentary candidate, Dr Never Tshabang in Tutume on July 26, Mr Saleshando criticised government’s failure to improve people's living standards.
He warned people of Nkange constituency to guard against misleading information peddled by people seeking political mileage. Mr Saleshando, who is also the MP for Gaborone Central, said some people were in the habit of giving false information to the electorates because they wanted to win political favours.
He urged the electorate to vote for the BCP parliamentary candidate and councilors in the coming general election.
Furthermore, he said when voted into power, they will change Tutume Sub-district into a fully-fledged district and come with programmes, which will create employment for youth.
He also said BCP advocates for free basic education, disabled persons and women and encourage the use of mother tongue in schools. In addition, he said the sub-district is lagging behind in developments and urged the constituency to vote wisely during the coming general elections.
Furthermore, he urged the electorate to vote for Mr Tshabang as he is young, vibrant and has vision to lead them. Others speakers, Messers Vain Mamela, Keorapetse Dithapelo urged people to tolerate change and vote for BCP.
He warned residents of Nkange to desist from fathom and vote for BCP aspiring candidate.
For his part, Mr Tshabang said he had volunteered to leave his job and come to represent the constituency as he had the welfare of the people at heart.
He also said it pained him to see the constituency still under-developed, stressing that he is the right candidate. ENDS
